I'm painting my nail blue to build a future free from violence.
Every woman and child deserves to feel safe—in their home, their relationships and their community.
As a former Victoria Police officer, someone who has worked in public policy and community services, a community advocate, a husband and a father, I have seen enough to know that violence is not something we can leave for somebody else to deal with.
We also need to challenge the outdated idea that men must hide their feelings, remain silent and always appear tough. Real strength is being able to speak up, ask for help, treat others with respect and be there for the people who depend on us. Control and violence are never signs of strength.
That is why I am joining Polished Man and painting one nail.
This year, I also have a public platform as an Independent candidate for Narre Warren South. I intend to use that platform for more than asking people for their vote. I want to help start conversations that matter—including conversations about violence against women and children, men’s mental health, respectful relationships and the kind of role models we choose to be.
One painted nail is a small but visible sign. People will ask about it—and that creates an opportunity to talk.
Please sponsor me and help Polished Man build safer, more caring communities free from violence. Funds raised support local leaders, safer workplaces and stories that can help change attitudes and behaviour.
This fundraiser is about the cause, not politics. Whatever your political views, I hope this is something we can stand behind together.
Thank you for your support.
