Polished Man Campaign

A national movement

Amplifying trusted community voices to role model how men can show up, for themselves and others, to build communities free from violence.

Why Nail Polish?

Polished Man began when our co-founder, Elliot Costello, met a girl named Thea*, who had endured physical and sexual abuse at the Cambodian orphanage she grew up in. She painted his nails and upon returning to Australia, he kept a nail painted to remember her. When he learned the full extent of violence against women and children in Australia, the single polished nail sparked a movement to raise awareness and funds against violence.
