Polished Man 26

I'm painting my nail to build a future free from violence.

Every person deserves to feel safe and cared for. But the pressure on men to hide their feelings and act tough is hurting their mental health, and in some cases leading men to think it's acceptable to control or even harm women and children. Polished Man backs the role models men already trust, to flip the script: helping men open up, ask for help, and show up for the people they love.

One painted nail starts a conversation. It's a small, visible sign that helps create new possibilities for how we show up for ourselves and each other.

Please sponsor me and help build safe, caring communities free from violence. Funds raised go directly towards backing local leaders, safer workplaces and storytelling that shifts the culture for good. Thanks for your support.

My WHY

Tuesday 29th Sep
I have seen a lot of violence and abuse. More than that, I have seen it get minimised and justified and have experienced first hand men getting away with completely with no consequences.
I have also worked with offenders of FDVA, walking alongside them as they face their actions, explore their own traumas and core beliefs and genuinely make a commitment to becoming a healthier version of masculinity.
I am committing to this awareness campaign as I believe that the most powerful way to shift attitudes and beliefs is to have conversations. We need men to be talking about this, speaking up when other men are doing the wrong thing and calling out ANY violent or abusive behaviour.

I am committing to the Polished Man Project every day until the Fremantle Dockers win their first premiership. Any donations received along the way will be great, but my main focus is to stay committed to the conversations that can be had.

Join the conversation and support me along this journey.
